In Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 Season 3, the Trophy Hunt has started! Here's how to get Trophies and what you can do with them when you're done.
What is a trophy, anyway?
Trophies are unique collectibles that look like coins with a gold skull on them. They only show in Warzone 2 and MW2 Season 3 during the limited-time Trophy Hunt event.
When AI and enemy Operators die in battle, these valuable items fall from them. Players can pick them up and turn them in for prizes.
In the Event exchange shop, you can trade trophies for things like Calling Cards, Double XP Tokens, and Weapon Blueprints that will stay with you forever.
Also, any coins left over at the end of the event will be turned into XP.
When does Trophy Hunt event end?
We don’t know yet, but probably when MW2 and Warzone 2 Season 3 Reloaded starts.
Season 3 Reloaded doesn't have a set release date yet, but it's likely to come out on May 10, 2023.
Until then, players can earn Trophies, trade them in for gifts, and even get a few special rewards based on how well they do!
How to earn trophies in the Trophy Hunt event?
Here are all the ways that MW2 and Warzone 2 players can earn Trophies:
MW2 Multiplayer
Kill enemy players and then personally pick up their trophies to bank them right away.
In round-based games, Trophies are saved when the unique enemy Operator is killed, so you don't have to pick them up.
Warzone 2 Battle Royale / Resurgence / Plunder
- Eliminate enemy Operators
- Eliminate AI Combatants
- Get Trophies as rewards.
- Then, win the match or store Trophies at an Upload Station.
- Trophies are lost when a player dies unless they were saved before.
Warzone 2 DMZ
- Eliminate enemy Operators
- Eliminate AI Combatants
- Trophies are found as loot.
- Then, successfully get Trophies out of an Upload Station or store them there. Trophies are lost when a player dies unless they were saved before.
In Modern Warfare 2 Multiplayer, Trophies can't be lost because they are saved as soon as they are earned. But players of Warzone 2 and DMZ will have to use a Buy Station or finish their games in order to get their Trophy hoards.
The Best and Fastest Way To Earn Trophies in WZ 2 & MW 2
The quickest way is by playing 10v10 modes in Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer. You can rack up a maximum of 10 trophies per match, while a match lasts for about 10-15 minutes. Meaning you can get 50-60 trophies per hour.
Trophy Hunt Event Rewards
Then, you can trade these collectible trophies for rewards in the events tab, such as weapon blueprints, vehicle skins, and battle pass tokens that let you skip tiers. The full list of prizes is given below.

If you trade Trophies for all 15 things, you'll get a second Operator Skin for Konig called "Arachnid" and your Trophy Hunt will be over, at least until more rewards come.
