Hello lads. Xul isn't released yet but our Heroes of the Storm boost team does not sleep! We already did some research and we're curious just like you, who is the next hero and will he rate high on our Heroes of the Storm tier list? We will ofcourse update the post regularly as soon as we hear more.
Lets see if we guess it...
Medivh
Medivh was the last Guardian of Tirisfal, an ancient line of protectors bestowed with great powers to do battle with the agents of the Burning Legion. However, he was corrupted even before birth and possessed by the spirit of the demonlord Sargeras who used Medivh in his plan to conquer Azeroth. Medivh contacted the orcish warlock, Gul'dan, and together they opened the Dark Portal, which allowed the Burning Legion to begin its destruction of Azeroth. He was slain shortly after by a party led by one of his friends, Lothar.
Dehaka
Dehaka is a primal zerg pack leader from Zerus. He was among the last of the primal zerg pack leaders. Dehaka is bipedal with a large left arm and a small right arm. The small right arm appears to be counterpart for a severed small left arm.
He also has a voiceover in the gameās files, Abathur says: āPrimal Zerg, unacceptable.ā
This guy from Starcraft has abilities such as pulling an enemy to yourself, including friendly enemies, Stitches much? Able to spawn two Spawns of Dehaka. Some kind of self-heal and jumping up and down the cliffs, how will this translate to Heroes of the Storm we do not know.
This is apparently Dehaka's claw.
Arcturus Mengsk
Arcturus Mengsk was a terran from Korhal. He led the Sons of Korhal and orchestrated the downfall of the Terran Confederacy during the Great War. Mengsk ruled the Terran Dominion, the Confederacyās successor, as Emperor Arcturus Mengsk I.
Mengsk also has voiceovers in the data files. Raynor says āI have been long waiting for thisā after killing Mengsk. Kerrigan says: āI never get tired of killing himā and a couple of more.
Stukov
Alexei Stukov (also spelled Alexi Stukov) is a human from Earth. He was the vice admiral of the UED Expeditionary Fleet.
Gul'Dan
Gulādan of the Stormreaver Clan was a former orcish shaman of the Shadowmoon Clan from Draenor, who became the first orcish warlock as well as the founder of the Orcish Horde.
Abandoning the ways of shamanism and betraying both his people and his mentor to the demon-lord Kilājaeden for personal gain and power, Gulādan was directly responsible for the orcsā fall to demonic enslavement as well as for the Hordeās invasion of Azeroth.
Tutored by the lord of the Burning Legion, he became the founder and master of the Shadow Council as well as the creator of the necromantic terrors known as Death-Knights. Gulādan is considered by many to have been the most cunning and powerful mortal Warlock to ever have existed. He often referred to himself as āDarkness Incarnateā and āThe Destroyer of Dreamsā.
He disbanded the clan of Raiders in the First War. Thrall, son of Durotan, trained grunts to ride to battle on wolves, however, and a few more Raiders came into the Horde. He is the secondary antagonist of Warlords of Draenor and the leader of the Iron Horde, having managed to usurp the position from Grom.
This guy only has one voiceover in the datamined files, Illidan tells Gulādan: āIām taking your skull, deal with it.ā (Infamous Skull of Gulādan) meaning HE WILL be released. A developer also confirmed that he is working on Gul'dan. He is tightly connected to WoW: Legion, so who knows? Another Warlock specialist incoming?
Mekkatorque
Gelbin Mekkatorque is the current High Tinker of Gnomeregan, and is also styled āKing of Gnomesā.
Gelbin has been at the helm of the gnome race during some of its most difficult and trying times. Since his title is an elected one, the fact that he has held his position throughout such hardship is a testament to the love his people have for him.
A brilliant inventor, Gelbin Mekkatorque rose quickly to prominence among the meritocratic gnomes with his innovative designs and creative problem-solving skills. He built the very first functioning mechanostrider, assisted in the development of the dwarven siege engine, and was instrumental in the creation of the Deeprun Tram running from Ironforge to Stormwind City.
This fella has been around as a potential hero since 2013. Here he is screenshotted from a Blizzards video weāll post below.
Kel'Thuzad
KelāThuzad was the founder of the Cult of the Damned and one of the principal agents of the Lich King responsible for the spreading of the plague of undeath across Lordaeron.Originally a human mage of the Kirin Tor, KelāThuzad was swayed under the influence of the Lich King. After bringing the plague to Lordaeron under the pretense of being under the orders of MalāGanis he was slain by Arthas. Arthas (by then a death knight) resurrected him as a lich so he could summon Archimonde the Defiler into Azeroth. Following Arthasā departure for Northrend, KelāThuzad was left to command the Scourge of Lordaeron from his necropolis, Naxxramas. Following his first defeat, he and his necropolis moved to Northrend.
Oh boy, our
Heroes of the Storm boost team is seriously hyped for this release! Sadly unlike ZulāJin and ChoāGall, KelāThuzad was only shown as a model on Blizzcon 2014 but that doesnāt mean they didnāt work on him for a while now, fingers crossed.
Zul'Jin
Zulājin (aka Zuljin) is a warlord of the Amani forest trolls and has been chieftain of the Amani tribe since before the Second War. Zulājin and the Amani tribe were allied with the orcish Horde for the duration of the Second War, but Zulājin himself was captured near its end by the Alliance. Upon gaining his freedom he went into hiding to rebuild his army and plan an attack on the remnants of the high elves, now known as blood elves, only to find them allied with the Horde.
During 2014 Blizzcon they teased him in during HotS presentation and in the cinematic.
Meaning he has a currently functioning model and spells.
Za'Muro
ZaāMuro is an orc blademaster who appeared in early builds of Heroes of the Storm. Although he was based in concept from the Warcraft Universe, he does not appear in any Warcraft games.
We believe he will not be released because all the abilities he should have had were already claimed by other heroes (Tassadar used his āWind Walkā, Nova used his āMirror Imageā, Sonya has āBladestormā) and Blizzard is trying to avoid random critical strikes so thatās a no. We already have enough Orcs too so why add another Orc when other races have less representation.
Tracer
The former Overwatch agent known as Tracer is a time-jumping adventurer and an irrepressible force for good.
Lena Oxton (call sign: "Tracer") was the youngest person ever inducted into Overwatch's experimental flight program. Known for her fearless piloting skills, she was handpicked to test the prototype of a teleporting fighter, the Slipstream. But during its first flight, the aircraft's teleportation matrix malfunctioned, and it disappeared. Lena was presumed dead.
She reappeared months later, but her ordeal had greatly changed her: her molecules had been desynchronized from the flow of time. Suffering from "chronal disassociation," she was a living ghost, disappearing for hours and days at a time. Even for the brief moments she was present, she was unable to maintain physical form.
Overwatch's doctors and scientists were stumped, and Tracer's case seemed hopeless until a scientist named Winston designed the chronal accelerator, a device capable of keeping Tracer anchored in the present. In addition, it gave Tracer the ability to control her own time, allowing her to speed it up and slow it down at will. With her newfound skills, she became one of Overwatch's most effective agents.
First Overwatch hero in Heroes of the Storm, she will likely be released synced with Overwatch release, so that means before June 21st 2016 but likely not before April 2016.
Mephisto
Dul'Mephistos, the Lord of Hatred, commonly referred to as Mephisto, is one of the three Prime Evils.
You remember the Arena promotional picture ? Remember how it teased Li-ming and Xul? We think it has one more secret to give: The Prime evil Mephisto. You can see, in between Morale's legs, a spidery claw attached to an arm.
This arm - while speculated to be Dehaka's (He's known for losing arms ) - is more likely Mephisto's vile hands than Dehaka's or Kel'thuzad's.
The arm clearly has four fingers, with long spindly claws. Dehaka, however, only has three claws. Additionally, Dehaka is depicted in concept art has having far more zerg-y hands, covered in scales and spikes - this sort of awesomeness is the kind of detail heroes would likely have. So - I don't think it's going to be Dehaka. (I'll be grumpy if it does turn out to be Dehaka, because he's high on my "heroes I think are upcoming" list, so I'll feel like I whiffed my skill shot)
So, Boosting Factory, who do you think is first?
Our
Heroes of the Storm boosting team believes Dehaka, Mephisto or Stuvok are next. This is pure speculation, who would you like to be the next? Like us on Facebook to stay in touch because we'll release information as soon as we know.
Update - We just received
this prognosis apparently made by an ex Blizzard employee, is he right? Lets see.
