Varian is a Hero that our Heroes of the Storm boosting team has predicted would join the Nexus. He's a tank or assasin, depending on how you build him, from the Warcraft franchise. PROS- Can be built as a tank, bruiser or assasin.
- The banners @ Level 13 are amazing.
- King Varian Wrynn. Nuff' said.
CONS - Possibly inferior to one-role-heroes
- Low escape
- Somewhat weak early game
- Easy to kite

Your charge now also stuns.Level 7 - Second Wind
Provides some sustain.Level 10 - Colossus Smash
Burst damage!Level 13 - Banner Of Ironforge
Provides some survivability on top of the HP lost with Colossus Smash.Level 16 - Mortal Strike / Juggernaut / Shattering Throw
Mortal Strike is the way to go, you can take Juggernaut vs Double Tank comps and especially vs Double Tank + another high HP target. Shattering throw VS Tassadar.Level 20 - Master At Arms

Provides some survivability.Level 16 - Mortal Strike / Juggernaut / Shattering Throw
Mortal Strike is the way to go, you can take Juggernaut vs Double Tank comps and especially vs Double Tank + another high HP target. Shattering throw VS Tassadar.Level 20 - Demoralizing Shout
Reduce enemy team's damage.Counters
- Lunara: Kites you and won't let you get close to her while she pokes you to death.- Tychus: Well known tank melter.
- Raynor: Kites you and melts you after Giant Killer.
- Tracer: Strong harass and kites you.
- Thrall: You probably can't duel Thrall.
- The Butcher: Nor Butcher.
Varian Tips
- When taunting an enemy target, especially a melee smashing your backline, kite him away from your team for the duration.- Charge can be used as Varian's only escape ability since you can charge minions and walls.
- You have no other means of escape, don't overextend!
- You can use Taunt to interrupt Channels, all of them except Mosh Pit.
- Tell your team to focus your target if you built Colossus Smash and/or Mortal Strike.
- You can peel your team with Lion's Fang.
- Don't plant Banners randomly, they can be killed. Get used to the radius and plant them somewhere where they can't be easily killed.
