When Does HotS Season 3 Start?

Heroes of the Storm's Season 3 starts on December 14th/15th, 2016.

When Does Heroes of the Storm Season 3 End?

HotS Season 3 ends on March 13th, 2017.

Is My MMR Going To Be Reset in Season 3?

Yes, but not completely back to 0. They will do a so called soft-reset, just like last season. They will tune down your SR by a little so everyone will start a bit lower than they currently are. For instance, if your MMR was 3500, it might be, as an example, 3000 next season.

Party Size Changes

- Hero League Duo Queue is now removed, you can now queue alone only. - Team League can now be played in parties of 2,3 and 5 players (not 4!). Parties of 2 and 3 need to be 1 tier difference max to queue. Parties of 5 can be any mixture of tiers.

- No hero level requirement for Team League.

- You cannot queue for Team League silenced.

Tier Distribution

Population of Gold and Silver will be equalized, meaning many players will not be placed where they expected! Population of Diamond will also be cut in half, meaning people with lower MMR but were Diamond in S2, will now be possibly placed in Platinum. Make sure to get your Season 3 Placement Games done properly, we can assist in that.
