Heroes of the Storm Player Arrested For Threatening Blizzard with AK-47

Our Heroes of the Storm boosting team ran into some really amusing news today. Apparently, a person calledStephen Cebula, from Sacramento, California seemed to have mixed up Blizzard with his actual enemy team ingame. He decided to take things into his own hands and deliver his message to Blizzard loud and clear.

This 28 year old gamer found himself facing federal charges this Thursday after threatening to pay a visit to Blizzard's headquarters with an AK-47, said in the 33-page federal indictment.

Apparently there were multiple threats and in one he said, and we quote "Careful Blizzard … I live in California and your headquarters is here in California … You keep silencing me in Heroes of the Storm and I may or may not pay you a visit with an AK 47 amongst some other ‘fun’ tools.”

Stephen, who was arrested on July 12, spoke to investigators about the incident explaining how he used his Facebook account (Smart!) to send threats to other players and Blizzard themselves in order to "scare them", FBI's Special Agent Brady Cowan, had written in his federal complaint.

Stephen said he looked up the company's real address online and mentioned it in one of the threats in order to "give them a sinking feeling that they should be worried", Agent Cowan said.

Prosecutor claims he also said: "You keep silencing people in heroes of the storm and someone who may live in California might be inclined to ‘cause a disturbance’ at your headquarters in California with an AK47 and a few other ‘opportunistic tools’ ... It would be a shame to [anger] the wrong person. Do you not agree blizzard?”

Cebula explained to the investigators how he said opportunistic tools was a term designed to let "their minds wander", he also used AK-47 as he thought it was the scariest weapon.

In case of conviction, Stephen faces up to five years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
