Hey! Today I’m going to talk about how to utilize cross-platform gameplay and cross platform progression in Overwatch 2. You will learn how to merge progression from one console to another. If you’re not familiar with the concept, any Overwatch 2 account can now be played on both XBOX and Playstation. All of your progress transfers across and is synced at all times. Meaning that if you play some matches on Playstation, they will show on your XBOX as well once you log in via XBOX, and vice versa.

Without further ado, let’s dig in and show you how to link your account to the platform you want to play on.

How To Link Overwatch 2 Account Cross Platform

The process may sound complicated but it’s actually rather simple and done in a few steps only!

Step 1

Head to the Battle.net account settings.

Step 2

Click on the Connections link on the left menu.

Step 3

You will then see all possible accounts that can be linked to your Battle.net. Your main platform account should already be here. If it isn’t, link it first by pressing CONNECT next to it.

Then, if you want to link a Playstation account to your Activision profile, press PSN, and log in with your PSN account to link it. If you don't have a PSN account, you can create one here.

If you want to link your XBOX account, press Xbox Live and log in, and if you don't have one, you can create one here.

Once you created one that you didn’t have, simply CONNECT it here by pressing CONNECT next to the appropriate platform.

NOTE: Never link someone else’s PSN / XBOX account to your Battle.net, only your personal accounts.

Step 4

Voila! You have now linked to your desired platform and you can play on that platform with all of your progress transferred in real time.

Will ALL of my stats and progress transfer?

Yes! All of your matches, ranks, achievements, skins, it’s all cross platform and can be accessed at any time via any of the linked accounts. Note that this will not work with PC too, PC progress and stats are separate from console.
