How To Unlock All Weapon Camos In MW3 Explained

With the release of a new Call of Duty game, it's time to start working on those mastery weapon camos again. Here's a guide to help you unlock them in Modern Warfare 3.

In the previous game, Modern Warfare 2, there were 308 completionist camos, including gold, platinum, polyatomic, and orion. The good news is that these skins are still available in Modern Warfare 3 thanks to the Carry Forward program. This program allows players to bring over all their MW2 weapon progress, operator skins, and weapon blueprints.

Now, in Modern Warfare 3, there are a total of 114 (MW2 + MW 3) weapons when the game launches, and you have 912 completionist camos from both games combined. To be clear, you can't put MW2 completionist camos on MW3 weapons, but the base camos work for all guns. So you'll have plenty of options to make your weapons look awesome!

MW3 Base Camos

There are 18 sets of base camos that you can unlock by playing multiplayer and zombies in Modern Warfare 3. These camo challenges are different for each weapon class. For instance, SMGs have their own set of challenges, separate from LMGs. Each weapon has four base camos to earn.

Activision has shared details about the MCW AR mastery camos to help players understand the new system. They mentioned that the challenges are now tailored to match the playstyle of each weapon type.

The MCW Mastery Camos include four specific Zombie Camos (we'll talk about those below) and four MCW MP-related Base Camo Unlocks, namely Razor Feather, Skullflagration, Abyssal Fox, and Menelaus Blue.

To unlock these MCW Mastery Camos, you need to complete two challenges for each one. One challenge is related to leveling up the MCW, like getting it to Level 12. The other challenge is specific to multiplayer, such as achieving 50 kills while aiming down sights with the MCW.
